We're recruiting: Communications & Community Officer

  • Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm

Health Foundry is an exciting venture powered by the Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity in Waterloo. We are a collaborative workspace and healthtech hub for people using digital technologies to improve health and wellbeing. Launched in September 2016, we now support nearly 130 startups working in digital health and related sectors to grow their business and help connect them to the local health system.

About You

We are looking for an ambitious, creative and proactive person who is keen to make an impact wherever they are. An interest in healthtech/startups/health/innovation is highly preferable but not mandatory. Health Foundry is open to new and out of the box ideas so a person that can help to drive this with a “crack on” attitude would be ideal. Most importantly, we are looking for a people person with an interest in building relationships and a practical, yet optimistic, outlook.

Communications

  • Day to day delivery of our communications channels - including our website, social media, physical assets (flyers, business cards, posters, etc.), newsletters, Slack and more...

  • Work with our Programmes Manager to create and deliver a communications strategy

  • Work with our Programmes Manager to deliver Health Foundry’s events and programmes

  • Explore and experiment with new communications tools, ideas and strategies - we want our communications to be as innovative as our members!

Community

  • Responsible for the day to day experience of members and guests (including opening & closing the space) - keeping the space safe, tidy and welcoming

  • Respond to enquiries in person, by telephone and by email

  • Day to day management of petty cash, credit card spends and other payments

  • Manage meeting room and event space bookings - including invoicing, setting up the rooms and hosting when needed

  • Setting up and managing member accounts

  • Create, maintain and distribute guidance documents, empowering our members and enhancing their experience at Health Foundry

  • Basically, become the “go to” person for our members!

Working With Us

  • Working hours are Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm (including a 1 hour lunch break)

  • £300 per person training budget per year

  • 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays and a Christmas shut down
