The event was hosted NHS England, NHS Digital and the Digital Health Network and shared updates from NHS England and NHS Digital about where they are in their digital transformation journey. Yesterday we welcomed Health Foundry member, Matthew Roberts, Business Development Director at Egress Group who ran a discussion group looking at some of the ways the interoperability agenda may impact (positively or negatively) SME’s who are working, or looking to work with NHS organisations and Councils across the 44 Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs).

Learnings from the Meet the GP Practice Lunch
Yesterday we were privileged to be joined by staff from the Grantham Practice, a local GP practice based down the road from Health Foundry in Stockwell. The staff shared their current challenges of running a busy inner city GP practice with Health Foundry members. Members also had a chance to pitch their innovations to the practice and get feedback on what they are working on.
Data Protection for Digital Health Startups
Last week, students from qLegal at Queen Mary University of London hosted our ‘Data Protection for Digital Health Startups’ Lunch&Learn at Health Foundry. qLegal provides free legal advice and resources to tech start-ups and entrepreneurs. This workshop was provided as part of eHealth Hub, a new EU-funded initiative that is cross-border and exclusively focused on digital health.

Self-Care for Multiple Long-Term Conditions
Our final Health Summit session was focused on patient self-care. This has been a particular focus of the New Models of Care work in the NHS with a drive to help keep people in their own homes for as long as possible; not so much from a cost saving perspective (although this does help) but home is where people want to be; particularly if they have dementia to reduce the confusion around unfamiliar environments. Our innovators showcased an impressive cohort of products.

SETHA is one of the largest health technology networking organisations in the country and has grown to 1300 members from 20 different countries.
