Design Jam is a day long event bringing together clinicians, designers, technologists and patients to develop design-led and tech-enabled solutions to the challenges and opportunities of social prescribing to help people living with multiple long term conditions (mLTCs). Social prescribing is a means of enabling health care professionals and voluntary and community organisations, and to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services.
Jam participants will form teams to brainstorm, ideate, design, validate and present their ideas. The day is designed to be interactive, with the use of human design principles to work through ideas to a paper or virtual design to be presented to a judging panel. (We are not looking for technical development of these ideas or any coding at this stage.)
Interesting ideas have the potential to be prototyped and tested in the community as part of the North Lambeth Local Care Network social prescribing pilot.
